LONDON, November 28, 2012—Medallia, the global leader in SaaS Customer Experience Management (CEM), today announced its expansion into Europe with the opening of its London office. The move comes in response to strong demand for Medallia’s software platform among customer experience leaders in European markets. Top brands using Medallia to collect and act on customer feedback include Kempinski, O2, Rezidor, and Sony Europe.

More than 80,000 businesses and business units use Medallia to track every facet of the customer experience in real time. Interest in Medallia’s solution is soaring, and the new office will meet demand in European markets, where the company already maintains a strong presence.

Leading the effort is industry veteran Martin Green, who joins Medallia as VP EMEA, running all sales and service for the region. With more than a decade of experience in customer experience management, Green is a recognized thought leader in the market.

“It is such an exciting time to join Medallia. Thanks to our best-in-class solution, the company is perfectly positioned to respond to the recent and rapid growth of interest in customer experience management across Europe,” said Green. “While Medallia has long served customers with European operations, having a full local presence reinforces our interest in delivering the most responsive service and thoughtful guidance.”

Before joining Medallia, Green was VP EMEA for Merced Systems. He previously led EMEA operations for Satmetrix.

“We’re seeing demand surge across Europe as European companies, facing global competition, realize they can create sustainable advantage in their local markets by delivering excellence in customer experience,” said Borge Hald, CEO of Medallia. “We are excited that many market leaders have chosen Medallia to rally their organizations around the voice of the customer. With a local team under the strong leadership of Martin, we are better positioned than ever to serve the unique needs of the European market.”

The UK operation will serve as Medallia’s formal EMEA headquarters for sales and service; the company also operates satellite offices in Oslo and Berlin.

To mark the opening of the London office, Martin Green and other Medallia executives will host a launch event on January 23, 2013, at Level 31 – Paramount, Centre Point, London, UK.
